Q. Where do the meetings take place?
A. St Joseph's Church Presbytery, Willow Walk, Wroughton, SN4 0RZ

Q. Do you have to speak French to attend the meetings?
A. It is better if you do, as all the talks are in French and members are also encouraged to use French when asking questions at the end of the presentation.
Q. How long are the meetings?
A. The meetings run from 7.30pm to approximately 9.30pm. The presentation starts at about 8.00 pm and usually lasts for one hour.
Q. How many meetings can I attend without paying the full membership fee?
A. The majority of members pay their subscription at the beginning of the season and attend regularly. However, guests are always very welcome and many decide to become full members at a later date.
Q. Is it worth arriving for the start of the meeting if my conversational French is extremely limited?
A. Absolutely! There will be plenty of opportunities to practise your spoken French, whatever your level, beginning with ordering a drink or buying a tombola ticket! You may also like to browse our collection of French books which may be borrowed.
Q. What social activities are organised by the club?
A. The two main social events in the calendar are the 'Buffet de Noël' and the lunch to celebrate Bastille Day. Social gatherings are also organised by individual members, with initiatives in the past leading to the creation of a French Book Club and a Bridge Club.
